Ten Stockport Companies Scoop A Healthier Catering Award

At the launch of the Greater Manchester Healthier Catering Award Scheme in Stockport, ten local companies will receive an inaugural award.

The scheme recognises caterers who meet certain standards and who have achieved a food hygiene rating of 3 or above, making it easier for customers to choose healthier and safer food. 

The successful companies and level of awards are:

Excellence:  Taylor’s Fish and Chips, Woodley Precinct;

Achievement:  Pulse Bistro and The Saxon Suite, both in Stockport Sports Village, Woodley; The Friary, Castle St, Edgeley; Istanbul Grill, Gatley Road, Cheadle; and Stockport Rd Chippy, Stockport Rd, Cheadle Heath.

Commitment: Startpoint Coffee Shop, Woodley Precinct; Matt’s Plaice, Berrycroft Lane, Bredbury; Sols Take-away, Finney Lane, Heald Green; and Village Chippy, Green Lane, Heaton Norris.

The recipients will receive a certificate, window sticker and a listing on the Greater Manchester Healthier Catering Award website: www.healthiercatering.co.uk
